Keep pushing.
— Charles Hoskinson (@IOHK\_Charles) May 23, 2026 This response follows a setback earlier in the week when some Japanese dReps voted against Input Output Group's research proposal. On a positive note for the network, a number of Cardano upgrades have crossed the DRep approval threshold. These include CIP-159 Account Address Enhancement, Multi-Asset Treasury CIP and Native Babel Fees. CIP-159 Account Address Enhancement allows enhanced account addresses to introduce semi-Ethereum-like accounts, opening the door to microfees and new use cases. The multi-asset treasury CIP will allow project funding in stable currencies for better budgeting and planning. Babel Fees allow bridging to Cardano and transactions in native currency to be seamless.

In this light, a crucial notice has been passed to Cardano node operators. Cardano SPO Samuel Leathers shared a notice on X in this regard. Discussions this week focused on a recently identified and resolved DB-Sync issue affecting synchronization stability under certain upgrade scenarios. While compatibility with node v11.0.1 remains in place, additional validation and soak time were deemed necessary before progressing further with the hard fork rollout. The Plutus Cost model parameter update governance action is due to be submitted on mainnet on May 22. Cardano has surpassed 121 million transactions on mainnet, achieving a fresh milestone.
