The crypto market is showing a fragile relief bounce this morning, attempting to stabilize after a large-scale, two-day outflow of institutional capital.
Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs shed $1.11 billion in two days as the Senate blocked the CLARITY Act and the Fed raised rates 25 basis points.
The SEC delayed Teucrium's short XRP ETF for the 19th time, moving the decision to October 11, 2026.
Zcash surged past $1,350, lifting its market cap to $23 billion and squeezing a $51.5 million short position.
The crypto market is showing a fragile relief bounce this morning, attempting to stabilize after a large-scale, two-day outflow of institutional capital. A synchronized shock in the form of an unexpected Federal Reserve rate hike and the Senate's blocking of the CLARITY Act triggered panic selling: in just 48 hours, $1.11 billion flowed out of regulated spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
Amid this market drama, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chose to maintain a strict administrative barrier, postponing the launch of Teucrium's leveraged inverse (short) XRP ETF for the 19th consecutive time.

At the same time, the crypto industry is demonstrating resilience. While major funds are recording an outflow of liquidity from leading cryptocurrencies, opposing institutional inflows were recorded in Solana (+$116.9 million) and XRP (+$3.5 million), while capital began a local rotation into specialized AI protocols and privacy-sector assets.
A billion down in two days: Who is urgently pulling money out of Bitcoin and Ether — and why
The main driver of market dynamics remains the record loss figure for the institutional sector: over the past two days, net capital outflows from U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs alone totaled $1.11 billion.
Major asset managers shifted to an emergency evacuation of capital into cash after two consecutive political and macroeconomic shocks. First, the U.S. Senate failed to pass the historic CLARITY Act (49 votes in favor and 50 against), leaving the industry without clear rules of the road or defined judicial jurisdictions.
Second, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) unanimously raised the benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to a target range of 3.75%–4.00%, while maintaining a hawkish outlook for the remainder of 2026.
A fund-by-fund breakdown of SoSoValue data over the past two days reveals how uneven the panic has been. Of the total losses, approximately $746.3 million came from spot Bitcoin ETFs, while Ethereum ETFs lost approximately $454.2 million.
At the same time, the SEC once again applied the bureaucratic brake. Through the procedural mechanism of a post-effective amendment, the agency moved the launch date of the Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF to October 11, 2026.
This is already the 19th postponement of the bearish product, which relies on derivatives swaps to provide inverse daily exposure to XRP.
As usual, the Commission provided no explanation, but the decision triggered only irony within the community. Former Ripple CTO and XRP Ledger architect David Schwartz sarcastically remarked on social media that he was "looking forward to the opportunity to short this short fund," highlighting the asymmetry in demand.

Meanwhile, spot Solana ETFs recorded a record inflow of +$116.90 million, fully absorbing the negative sentiment coming from Wall Street.
Blockchain signals currently indicate that the wave of institutional selling is far from over. On-chain trackers recorded that investment giant BlackRock initiated the transfer of large volumes of assets to the Coinbase Prime custody platform, moving 54,096 ETH worth approximately $131.7 million and 2,015 BTC worth approximately $153.8 million.
Such transactions traditionally precede settlements related to ETF share sales, pointing to a high probability that the funds will record net outflows at the close of this week.
How Zcash and RippleX updates are creating AI rails for "smart money"
While traditional funds were losing billions on Wall Street, the technological pulse of the industry sharply shifted toward alternative niches: autonomous machine payments and confidentiality-focused scaling systems.
The AI crypto sector demonstrated complete independence from macroeconomic pressure, gaining 4.6% in 24 hours on a global trading volume of more than $2 billion. The leaders of the rebound were Layer 1 protocols: Near Protocol (NEAR) jumped 15%, while Venice Token (VVV) gained 13%.
For the XRP ecosystem, the key driver came from an official release by RippleX, which rolled out version 1.1 of its XRPL AI Starter Kit, adding native support for the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) from Stripe and Tempo.
This allows autonomous AI agents to independently and instantly — within 3–5 seconds — pay for APIs, computing power, and data packages using XRP or the upcoming native RLUSD stablecoin through integrated payment channels.
With the same narrative, Circle's Arc L1 blockchain also entered mainnet. Its native gas token is USDC, and the network is validated by a consortium comprising BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard.
The XRPL itself is preparing to support this activity at the core level. The long-awaited Batch V1.1 update, which enables the batch processing of up to eight transactions in a single bundle for AI and institutional DeFi needs, reached 82.9% validator support and entered the final automatic activation timer, scheduled for September 29, 2026, at 14:06 UTC.
The LendingProtocolV1_1 credit-pool protocol was also officially deployed in the code of xrpld 3.4.0.
The absolute anomaly of the day was the explosive rise of the privacy coin Zcash (ZEC), which surged beyond the $1,350–$1,400 range, increasing the project's market capitalization to $23 billion.
The parabolic rally triggered a massive short squeeze, trapping a large institutional short position worth $51.5 million. That short is now more than $26 million underwater.
The asset's move was driven by three hard factors:
Successful hard fork: 99.9% of participants voted to reduce the block time from 75 to 25 seconds for instant settlements.
Tokenomics protection: 98.9% of users supported preserving the deflationary halving under the Bitcoin model.
Venture capital: Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang confirmed direct investment in ZEC and long-term support for the ZODL laboratory, which previously raised $25 million from Paradigm, a16z crypto, and Coinbase Ventures.
Point two is akin to saying that shareholders shouldn’t control a corporation.
It anoints trusted third parties off-chain using pleasant-sounding words like “community.” It creates sybil attacks and unending politics.
Blockchains are markets, not democracies or aristocracies.
The growth of privacy-sector assets reflects a defensive market reaction. Against the backdrop of panic in the United States, capital is seeking rails protected from external administrative pressure and constant algorithmic monitoring of data.
What to prepare for before the end of autumn?
Leading network indicators suggest that overall liquidity at the close of the week will remain tightly concentrated in ecosystems with real technological utility or protection from U.S. regulators.
The market's risk profile requires investors to focus only on confirmed deadlines and macroeconomic triggers:
September 17–18, 2026 — Bank of Japan rate decision: A rate hike to 1.25% is expected, threatening the unwinding of the global carry trade and a decline in meme coins such as Shiba Inu (SHIB).
September 29, 2026 — XRPL Batch V1.1 hard fork: At 14:06 UTC, batch transaction processing will activate on the network, introducing group-fee functions and institutional DVP settlements.
September 30, 2026 — Zcash update deadline: The window for the technical deployment of 25-second blocks will close, testing ZEC's ability to maintain its current price premium.
October 11, 2026 — Short XRP ETF deadline: The deadline for a decision on Teucrium's short product will arrive. In the absence of the CLARITY Act, regulators will move toward unilateral rulemaking.
